Are you an experienced mechanical engineer ready to lead complex subprojects in the maritime sector? In the dynamic Bremen–Oldenburg region, our client is looking for a Senior Project Manager Mechanical Engineering (m / w / d) to lead internal and external engineering teams and ensure the seamless execution of challenging marine projects.

As Senior Project Manager Mechanical Engineering (m / w / d), you will take charge of leading a team in the mechanical engineering department, ensuring technical excellence, deadline adherence, and budget control.
Your responsibilities include :
Leading and managing a team of internal and external mechanical design engineers
Ensuring the technical design and integration of mechanical systems and components
Monitoring budget compliance and ensuring timely delivery of project milestones
Acting as primary point of contact for clients, suppliers, authorities, classification societies, and flag states
Coordinating interdisciplinary collaboration between various departments and systems
Reviewing and approving technical documentation, including specifications and drawings
Evaluating contractual changes and client requests, and supporting offer development
Functie eisen
Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or equivalent (e.g., Meister, Techniker)
Several years of experience in mechanical design within the maritime industry
Strong knowledge of system design standards and marine classification society requirements
Initial experience in leading technical teams or subprojects; Independent, structured way of working with high communication skills
Good command of German and English, both written and spoken
Enjoyment of working in a collaborative and solution-oriented team environment
