Position Summary
As an Industrial Engineer , you will be responsible for optimizing manufacturing systems and processes to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and support high-quality production. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams including production, quality, maintenance, and logistics to implement lean manufacturing practices and drive continuous improvement across the plant.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and improve production workflows, layouts, and material handling systems
- Lead industrialization of new processes and product launches
- Implement and support lean manufacturing initiatives (Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping)
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through time studies, line balancing, and process optimization
- Develop standard operating procedures and work instructions
- Support capital investment projects including equipment specification and justification
- Work closely with production and maintenance teams to resolve bottlenecks and inefficiencies
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field3+ years of experience in an industrial engineering role, preferably within a Tier 1 automotive environmentStrong understanding of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process improvement toolsProficiency in production planning tools, AutoCAD, and MS OfficeExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong communication and team collaboration abilitiesFluent in English & German
