SCOPE OF ROLE :
Under the direction of the Sales Director, the Business Development Manager (m / f / d) will secure and build a pipeline of new business opportunities with established and new original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) throughout North Europe. The Business Development Manager (BDM) will be responsible for the initial technical assessment of opportunities and for developing the winning commercial approach.
GAST is a part of the IDEX Pneumatic Performance Platform. We are currently looking to add more talent to our EMEA team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES :
- Drive profitable growth : Own your market - Develop strategic alliances with target customers
- Spark Innovation : Build stakeholder relationships with research & development engineering, product development leaders within customers’ organization
- Generate competitive insights : Research market trends
- Leverage technical selling experience to understand the customer's needs and offer the right product or service solution
- Maintain relationships with existing customers to secure existing business and capture new opportunities.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Engineering or Business SchoolPreferably experience in air compressors, vacuum pumps, blower market or OEM salesExperience in business development in a comparable market segmentGerman and English language fluency requiredDemonstrated ability to establish and build professional relationships to grow and expand sales and customer base experienceReadiness to travel once or twice a week (25-30%)Our offer to you :
