Summary
We are looking for a “Lead Engineer Architecture and Design (f / m / d)” for the “Solution and Cross Functional Engineering” department in Ulm or Immenstaad as soon as possible.
The “Solution and Cross Functional Engineering” department is responsible for the system design, definition and development of cockpit systems, navigation and mission support systems, as well as the corresponding sensor technology for helicopters and airplanes.
As Lead Engineer (f / m / d) in the Future Combat Air System (FCAS) Systems of Systems (SoS) team, you will be responsible for the technical implementation of the architecture and design of the NSDAS solution. The consolidation of the required technologies as well as the validation of suitable new technologies are also part of your tasks in the position as Lead Engineer Architecture and Design for the NSDAS Solution.
As part of the FCAS core team, you will work closely with the relevant interdisciplinary development teams.
Your Tasks
Lead and be responsible for the successful technical implementation of the architecture and design of NSDAS Solutions projects in close collaboration with the Chief Engineer, the Technical Project Manager and the development teams involved
Ensuring the technical feasibility, technological maturity, product and system specification of architecture and design
Validation of requirements, system integration, verification and qualification of architecture and design
Ensuring the integrity of the system elements (safety, protection, environmental compatibility)
Estimation of the development effort
Identification and evaluation of technical risks and opportunities and development of suitable measures to minimize risks
Your Profile
Degree in electrical engineering, communications engineering, computer science, physics or similar
Many years of practical experience in complex development projects, experience in the application of aviation development processes
Extensive experience in development, signal processing, system engineering / architecture / design and / or software development, integration and demonstration
Strong technical interest and technological understanding in the use of new technologies
High degree of initiative and commitment
Efficient, results-oriented and responsible way of working in a complex environment
Fluent German and good English skills
