Are you a proven quality leader ready to drive excellence in a fast-paced, automotive environment? A major global Tier 1 automotive supplier is seeking a hands-on Quality Manager to lead all quality assurance and control functions at a flagship production site supplying premium systems to a major OEM.

Key responsibilities :

  • Lead all plant-level quality activities across incoming inspection, in-process control, final inspection, and customer quality.
  • Act as primary customer interface on all quality topics (including escalations, audits, PPAP, 8D reports).
  • Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, VDA 6.3 and customer-specific requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement and root cause elimination, leading internal audits, problem-solving teams, and capability reviews.
  • Develop and mentor a growing team of quality engineers and technicians, aligning KPIs and department performance to plant objectives.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, engineering, launch, and logistics during ramp-up and series production.

Requirements :

  • Several years of experience in a Tier 1 automotive environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of IATF 16949, VDA 6.3, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, and SPC.
  • Direct experience with JIS or JIT production models and OEM-facing quality leadership.
  • Proven ability to handle customer audits, complaints, and escalation processes independently.
  • A confident leader with the ability to coach, lead and grow a team through change and scale.
  • Fluency in German and English is essential.
