As we continue to expand globally, we are looking for a strategic and hands-on Senior Global Tax Manager to lead and optimize our global tax operations and strategy.
Role Overview
As the Senior Global Tax Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all global direct and indirect tax activities, ensuring compliance, managing risk, and advising on tax-efficient structures for business operations, transactions, and growth. This is a highly visible role interfacing with senior leadership and cross-functional teams globally.
Key Responsibilities
Tax Compliance & Reporting
- Oversee global corporate tax compliance across jurisdictions, ensuring timely filings and adherence to local regulations
- Manage transfer pricing documentation and intercompany transactions
- Lead preparation and review of tax disclosures for consolidated financial statements (IFRS / local GAAP)
Tax Planning & Strategy
Develop and implement global tax strategy in alignment with business objectivesAdvise on tax aspects of M&A, restructurings, and cross-border transactionsDrive initiatives for tax optimization, cash repatriation, and effective tax rate reductionRisk Management & Governance
Ensure robust tax controls and compliance processes are in placeMonitor changes in tax legislation globally and assess implications for the groupLead tax audits, liaise with tax authorities, and manage external advisorsTeam Leadership & Collaboration
Collaborate with finance, legal, and business units to support operational decisionsManage tax aspects of ERP systems, data integrity, and automation initiativesMentor and develop junior members of the tax or finance teamQualifications & Experience
Degree in Tax, Accounting, Finance or Law; professional qualification (e.g., Steuerberater, ACCA, CPA, CTA) is a strong plus7+ years of international tax experience, ideally with a mix of Big 4 and in-house exposureDeep understanding of corporate income tax, VAT, transfer pricing, and tax reporting (IFRS / GAAP)Experience in a multinational or private equity-backed environment is an advantageStrong analytical skills and commercial awarenessExcellent English required; German proficiency strongly preferredWhat We Offer
