Head of Legal - Financial Sector (NPL / M&A)

An international financial institution, active in the management of debt portfolios across Europe, is seeking a Head of Legal to lead all legal matters related to its Luxembourg operations.

This regulated, publicly listed entity is firmly established in over 10 countries and plays a key role in the acquisition and restructuring of non-performing loans (NPL), working closely with banks, financial institutions, and institutional investors.

The position offers direct exposure to strategic decision-making and close collaboration with the Group's investment, compliance, and governance teams.

Head of Legal - Your Responsibilities :

• Provide legal advice on general Luxembourg law matters (corporate law, contract law, banking and financial law, governance).
• Support portfolio acquisition operations and mergers & acquisitions projects.
• Draft, negotiate, and review transactional legal documents (NDAs, term sheets, acquisition contracts, LOIs, T&Cs, etc.).
• Coordinate legal interactions with Group teams, local operations, investment departments, and support functions.
• Prepare legal analyses for the investment committee or Board.
• Manage external legal service providers and supervise the quality of their services.
• Actively participate in cross-functional projects (compliance, audits, risk management).
