Propulsion engineer or Research Engineer with Plasma knowledge (Paris on-site) (space, satellite, aerospace)

We’re hiring a Product Owner / Research Engineer on behalf of an innovative ENGINE PROPULSION SATELLITE company of 60 employees in the space technology sector . The organization is known for its cutting-edge propulsion systems for small satellites and has a proven track record of delivering high-performance, in-orbit-validated hardware to clients across Europe, the US, and Asia. With hundreds of propulsion systems ordered to date, the company plays a key role in redefining satellite mobility and space sustainability.

As a Product Owner, you will play the important role of ensuring the technical success of the product. You will be responsible for following the product life cycle of the satellite engines.

You will interface with different teams, based on the maturity of the product, bringing knowledge and expertise across all technical teams. You will actively participate in the development of the engines, driving the improvements and updates of the design, as well as accompanying it through in-orbit demonstration mission, lifetime test and industrialization process at a later stage.

As part of the Product Management team, you will interface with all aspects of the creation of the product, from early conception to production. This role requires a dynamic and multitasking individual who will drive people forward with strong expertise and a positive attitude.

Key responsibilities :

• Ensure the product's success from all technical aspects.
• Defining and communicating the product vision and strategy.
• Managing the product lifecycle and driving product enhancements.
• Follow the product throughout its development cycle, interfacing with the different teams.
• Collaborating with engineering teams to define product architecture and design.
• Assemble and lead the debugging task forces when needed.
• Report directly to the Head of Product Management Team.

Skills and qualifications :

The successful candidate should be a self-starter with a passion for space technologies and the commercial space industry. Experience in design and development of new products is a plus. We value a proactive and inquisitive mindset, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
