Technical Project Manager – Solar (m / f / d)

Location : Hamburg or Munich (Hybrid, up to 50% remote)

Type : Permanent | Full-time

We are supporting a leading European renewable energy IPP in their search for a Technical Project Manager to join their growing solar division. The company operates a significant portfolio of wind and solar parks across Europe and is committed to expanding its clean energy capacity in the years ahead.

This role will suit a technically minded professional with a strong background in solar project engineering, repowering, or technical O&M – someone who thrives on improving asset performance and driving technical excellence across the board.

What You’ll Be Doing :

  • Act as the technical point of contact for internal stakeholders on solar park optimisation
  • Oversee repowering, maintenance, and commissioning activities
  • Analyse plant performance, conduct on-site inspections, and support troubleshooting
  • Manage warranty claims and provide technical assessments for insurance cases
  • Lead third-party expert engagements (selection, commissioning, review)
  • Identify and implement technical optimisation measures
  • Contribute to standardising technical management processes
  • Collaborate across teams to improve internal knowledge and investment decisions

What We’re Looking For :

  • Degree in Electrical, Environmental, or Renewable Energy Engineering
  • Professional experience in solar PV technical management or O&M
  • Knowledge of repowering projects, performance analysis, and contractor management
  • Strong Excel skills and familiarity with MS Office
  • Fluent in German and English; other European languages are a plus
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and confident in decision-making
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for site inspections and handovers
