About the role
We’re looking for a seasoned Database Administrator with a strong foundation in PostgreSQL and either MS-SQL or Oracle. You’ll play a key role in maintaining mission-critical systems, solving performance issues, and leading the shift to Azure-based cloud infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Support enterprise customers with planning, installing and configuring DB systems.
- Address immediate operational needs, including database issue resolution, data clean-up, and custom adjustments for key clients
- Lead the long-term migration of the platform from on-premise infrastructure to the cloud
- Act as the subject matter expert for database performance, architecture, backup strategies, and disaster recovery planning
- Collaborate closely with platform engineering, product development, and provide 3rd-level support
Ideal Candidate Profile
Deep expertise in relational databases, with strong hands-on experience in PostgreSQL, MS-SQL, or OracleProven track record as a DBA or database architect, including system design and performance tuningSkilled in advising and collaborating with development teams on database best practicesFamiliarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) is highly desirable, especially for upcoming migration initiativesExcellent communicator, capable of translating complex technical topics for a variety of stakeholdersFluent in German (C1 level or higher) and good englishWhy Join?
