Job Description

We are looking for a Director - Health Sciences to serve as our EMEA Lead, responsible for launching and growing our consulting presence across Europe. This is a seller-doer leadership role with strong emphasis on business development, client acquisition, and strategic growth. The ideal candidate will bring a portable book of business and may join as an individual or with a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the Health Sciences practice across EMEA, setting strategic direction and ensuring alignment with global objectives.
• Develop and execute regional business development strategies to expand client relationships and service offerings.
• Oversee consulting engagements in areas such as toxicology, epidemiology, product safety, regulatory compliance, and health risk assessment.
• Build and mentor a high-performing team of consultants and subject matter experts.
• Represent J.S. Held in industry forums, conferences, and client meetings, enhancing brand visibility and thought leadership.
• Collaborate globally with colleagues across North America and APAC to share best practices and deliver integrated solutions.

Qualifications

EU-registered toxicologist status is required.

Extensive experience in health sciences consulting, with expertise in one or more of the following : toxicology, epidemiology, product stewardship, regulatory affairs, or health risk assessment.

Proven leadership experience in a regional or global consulting role, ideally within a top-tier firm or specialized consultancy.

Strong understanding of EMEA regulatory frameworks, market dynamics, and client expectations.

Demonstrated success in business development, client relationship management, and strategic growth initiatives.

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels.

Fluent in English; additional language skills (e.g., German, Spanish or French) are a plus.
