Head of Data

Following a recent acquisition, several independent business units are being integrated into a unified structure. This transformation, supported by strong internal innovation capabilities, is opening new avenues for growth and market expansion. To support this evolution, we are seeking a Head of Data to lead, scale, and mature the data function. Reporting directly to the C-suite, this role will oversee a team of data professionals and collaborate closely with senior stakeholders across the organisation, particularly in finance and technology.

Key Responsibilities

Build and lead a cross-functional data team (engineers, analysts, etc.
Develop a modern data platform, including data lake and web tracking capabilities.
Optimise digital customer journeys and support AI-driven personalisation.
Define KPIs to measure business performance and support planning.
Enable automation in customer operations using data.
Deliver data insights and tools for internal and external users.
Drive data governance and cross-functional alignment.
Champion data as a key driver of growth and decision-making.

What We're Looking For

3+ years as Head of Data, with 5+ years overall experience in data and engineering.

Experience working with large datasets.

From a data engineering background.

Solid knowledge of cloud data platforms including Snowflake or Databricks

Extensive experience in web analytics.

Familiarity with large language models is a plus.

Proven ability to lead teams, manage stakeholders, and drive business outcomes.

Experience working with FP&A and engineering teams.

Industry experience in financial services, consumer or retail.

Working proficiency in spoken German.
