The Optical Technology Laboratory in Munich researches and develops signal processing, components and systems for fixed access, data center networks, metro and long-haul optical networks. The department engages in local research and collaborates with academic and industrial partners from the European ecosystem.

What You'll Do :

• Conduct innovative research in optical communication and DSP to advance technologies used in high-speed, high-capacity networks.
• Develop and test algorithms to improve the performance of optical systems and signal processing techniques.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on exciting, large-scale projects.
• Contribute to publications and intellectual property generation, positioning yourself as a leader in the field.
• Stay at the forefront of emerging trends and advancements in optical and DSP technologies.
• Participate in academic conferences and collaborate with local academic institutes.

Who You Are :

We’re looking for a motivated and creative individual who is passionate about technology and excited to push the boundaries of research in optical communication. You should have a strong technical background in DSP and optics, but more importantly, you should have a curiosity for new technologies and a desire to make a difference.
