Our client is seeking a consultant to carry out operational due diligence on a food manufacturing business centered around a single facility near Munich. The main objectives are to verify unit economics, assess current plant utilization, and identify potential opportunities for cost reduction. The consultant will also be responsible for conducting commercial due diligence.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform operational due diligence by validating unit economics, evaluating plant utilization and throughput, and pinpointing bottlenecks or areas for cost reduction through lean analysis.
- Conduct commercial due diligence by reviewing relationships with roughly 10 private-label customers and assessing revenue stability and customer concentration risks.
- Develop or oversee a financial model that combines operational and commercial insights to inform the client’s investment projections.
Requirements :
Fluent in German (spoken and written)Experienced operations consultant with a track record of conducting due diligence in manufacturing; food manufacturing experience preferred but not requiredStrong skills in unit economics analysis, plant utilization assessment, and lean operationsAbility to synthesize findings into actionable insights for pre-investment decisionsComfortable conducting limited commercial analysis of a small customer baseCapable of building or guiding the development of a financial model based on diligence outcomesProject Details
