Your tasks

  • Carrying out calculations and numerical simulations during development, e.g. structural mechanics, structural dynamics, etc.
  • Work in interdisciplinary development teams
  • Support in the preparation of proofs of shock resistance
  • Ensuring the quality of results, also by proactively clarifying the boundary conditions, e.g. by means of material measurements
  • Acting as contact person for internal and external customers

    • Your profile

  • Successfully completed studies in mechanical engineering, shipbuilding, physics or a comparable qualification
  • Professional experience as a calculation engineer or simulation engineer, ideally in the maritime sector
  • Strong knowledge in the field of structural mechanics and structural dynamics, in particular numerical crash or shock simulations
  • Good knowledge of materials and production engineering as well as knowledge of rigid body simulation desirable
  • Confident handling of MS Office, advanced user knowledge of Linux, LS-DYNA, ANSA / META and, if necessary, MATLAB, COMSOL, STAR-CCM+ or Siemens NX
  • Good written and spoken German and English skills
  • Analytical, proactive and independent way of working
  • Confident, engaging manner and very good team and communication skills
