Data Center Facility Technician - Munich
We're working with a data center provider who is looking to hire a Data Center Technician to support facility operations across a large-scale, high-availability campus. This is a great opportunity for someone with an electrical background to step into a critical role within one of the region’s most advanced digital infrastructure environments.
The role involves supporting all aspects of technical facility operations — including managing service providers, overseeing maintenance and installations, and ensuring the continuous availability and safety of the site’s infrastructure. You'll also be responsible for customer support tasks such as Remote Hands services, as well as the installation and cabling of hardware in the data hall.
We're looking for someone with technical training in electrical engineering (EFZ or similar), a valid small electrical license , and hands-on experience working with systems like UPS, PDUs, and HVAC. German language skills are essential, along with a proactive, solution-focused approach and a willingness to be part of an on-call rota.

Responsibilities
Oversee and support the data center campus in all facility management-related activities.Coordinate and supervise service providers, maintenance teams, and external contractors, ensuring all activities meet compliance, safety, and uptime standards.Perform subsequent installations, repairs, and optimizations of electrical and mechanical systems without impacting ongoing operations.Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on energy efficiency, system reliability, and safety.Carry out Remote Hands services for clients, including basic troubleshooting, system checks, and visual verifications.Perform hardware installation and structured cabling within the data center environment.Document tasks, interventions, and system changes clearly and accurately.Required Skills & Experience
Familiarity with data center infrastructure components (e.g., UPS, PDUs, HVAC, structured cabling)Fluency in German (written and spoken); English skills a plus.Proven experience in the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems, ideally within data center environments.Valid small electrical license (Kleiner Elektroschein) is a plusSolid MS Office skills and familiarity with digital maintenance / reporting tools.Completed technical vocational training in electrical engineering (e.g., Elektroniker EFZ, Elektroinstallateur EFZ, or similar).
