Head of Legal & Compliance

Location : Frankfurt

Our client is seeking an experienced legal leader to head the Legal & Compliance function within a dynamic international environment. This role combines strategic legal advisory, compliance oversight, and team leadership, with a strong focus on aligning legal support with business goals.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead and develop the Legal & Compliance team, including remote team members.
  • Provide legal guidance across commercial, corporate, compliance, antitrust, product liability, IP, and regulatory matters.
  • Act as a key business partner, embedding legal risk awareness and pragmatic solutions into decision-making.
  • Coordinate with European and global legal teams to ensure alignment and consistency.
  • Oversee contract management, legal training, and the ongoing improvement of compliance systems.
  • Strengthen data protection processes in partnership with the Data Protection Officer.
  • Mentor legal staff and support their ongoing development.

Your Profile :

  • Fully qualified German lawyer or equivalent European legal qualification.
  • 7+ years’ experience in legal roles.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legal areas and regulatory frameworks (e.g., IFRS, EU law, data protection).
  • Fluent in German and English.
  • Proven leadership skills, including experience managing remote teams.
  • Business-oriented mindset with excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
