Your mission

Data-Driven Financial Reporting :

Develop and refine financial reports, dashboards, and visualizations to monitor KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) in real-time.

Utilize modern BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker to provide comprehensive insights into financial metrics.

Automation of Reporting Processes :

Implement and maintain automated reporting processes to increase efficiency and reduce manual errors.

Develop data pipelines to integrate financial data from various sources (ERP systems, CRM, databases).

Ad-Hoc Analysis :

Perform ad-hoc analyses to support rapid decision-making and provide clear, data-driven recommendations.

Ability to structure, analyze, and present complex data in an understandable format for stakeholders.

Performance Reporting and Forecasting :

Create dynamic financial models to enhance forecasts, cash flow projections, and scenario analyses.

Develop performance reports that identify variances between planned and actual results and provide root cause analysis.

Integration of Business Intelligence in Financial Strategies :

Leverage BI analysis to support strategic financial planning and business management.

Identify trends, opportunities, and risks through data-driven insights to improve competitiveness.

Transparency and Visualization :

Prepare clear and visually compelling reports for management, investors, and other stakeholders.

Develop dashboards that consolidate financial, market, and operational data to facilitate faster decision-making.

Compliance and Accuracy :

Ensure compliance with statutory reporting standards (IFRS, HGB) and internal policies.

Implement validation mechanisms to ensure data integrity and accuracy.

Collaborative BI Solutions :

Promote a culture of data-driven decision-making within the organization.

Train and support team members in the use of BI tools and the interpretation of financial data.

Support the Management in future fundraising processes

Lead the financial due diligence processes within funding rounds

Your profile

Bachelor's or master's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

7+ years of experience in a financial leadership role, preferably in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.

Strong experience in financial reporting, forecasting, and automation processes.

Proficiency in BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker) and financial modeling.

Solid understanding of statutory accounting standards (IFRS, HGB) and compliance requirements.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data in an understandable and visual format.

Collaborative mindset with strong leadership and team management abilities.

Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of strategic thinking.Bonus points for

Experience working with ERP systems and building financial data pipelines.

Experience with fundraising processes, investor communications, and due diligence.

Background in circular economy, sustainability, or technology-driven industries.

About Us

Circunomics GmbH, based in Mainz, Germany was founded in 2019. Circunomics is leading the industry by offering a comprehensive battery lifecycle management solution. Co-Founders, Felix Wagner and Jan Born, are dedicated to establishing a true circular battery economy, which in turn, maximizes each stage of battery life. Along with their team, they seek to inspire the movement of batteries from the automotive industry, to the energy sector, and finally on to recyclers who close the loop by recovering any remaining raw materials.

Circunomics has developed an AI-powered, B2B marketplace where cells, modules, and packs can be sold and purchased. Through the Circunomics Analytics product, sellers and buyers alike can obtain a detailed view of their assets. From current SoH to 2nd-life simulation, this product allows for a simpler and more profitable lifecycle management. Circunomics knows that lifecycle planning is complex, and the Battery Matchmakers are on a mission to help ease this process for their customers.

The company has been supported thus far by seed investors and business angels. Startup builder Next Mobility Labs, recycler TES, Orlen VC, and Dr. Peter Mertens (former Chief Technology Officer of Audi) are some of the key players. The Series A funding round was completed in December of 2024 with the addition of investors, Schaeffler and GET Fund.

Official expansion into the US Market transpired in January of 2025 with the hiring of Adam Willmouth who will serve as the company's US Managing Director. Circunomics looks forward to further collaboration with current US clients and to further growth within this key global market.
