Summary Statement

The Data Insights & Advance Analytics team within Global IT is the central Data & Analytics partner of the global Ottobock business. We love data and we see ourselves as an enabler and provide the entire portfolio of infrastructure, data engineering and analytics to make the business even more successful.

Duties & Responsibilities

We strongly believe in the power of data – from business intelligence to better & smarter MedTech products for our patients. For Ottobock the journey of a data driven company is one of the top strategic business goals. As SAP BW Architect and as part of this journey you will :

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for SAP BW / 4Hana solutions
  • Design and implement efficient data models in SAP BW / 4Hana to support reporting and analytics needs
  • Develop and implement ETL processes
  • Configure and optimize SAP BW / 4Hana for performance and scalability
  • Provide guidance and support to development teams during the implementation of SAP BW / 4Hana solutions
  • Develop and maintain documentation for SAP BW / 4Hana solutions, including technical specifications, data models, and system configurations
  • Stay current with SAP BW / 4Hana best practices and new features to continuously improve our solutions
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SAP BW / 4Hana solutions
  • As we are using a hybrid data stack with SAP and Microsoft (Azure) / Data Bricks technology it would be desirable to develop integration strategies ensuring seamless data flow between SAP BW / 4Hana, Azure services (such as Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Data Factory etc.), and Databricks
  • Work closely with Azure and Databricks architects to align SAP BW / 4Hana solutions with overall cloud architecture principles and best practices

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • Proven experience as an SAP BW / 4Hana Architect or similar role, with at least 4 years of experience in designing and implementing SAP BW solutions
  • Strong understanding of SAP BW / 4Hana architecture, data modeling concepts, and best practices
  • Hands-on experience with SAP BW / 4Hana implementation, including designing and configuring InfoObjects, InfoProviders, CalculationViews and data extraction processes
  • Experience with SAP HANA database technology is highly desirable as well as SAP BW certification
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements (also visually) into technical solutions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels. Experience in agile project management methods is a plus
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services, including Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Data Factory and especially Azure Databricks is a plus
  • Languages : Good knowledge of German and / or English
