TYPE: Full-time role (Probation: 6 months)

SALARY: €48k–54k gross per year + performance bonus (if applicable)

LOCATION: Field-based / Full-remote in Central Germany (Frequent travel within assigned region)

Field Application Engineer Responsibilities:
•Act as the first point of contact for dealers and end-users regarding products, applications, and daily business matters
• Manage and develop relationships with dealers and end-users within the assigned region while identifying new opportunities and supporting revenue growth
• Conduct joint visits with dealer sales representatives and perform regular visits to key customers and major accounts
• Provide product demonstrations, technical instruction, training, and application support to dealers and end-users
• Support installations, basic service activities, troubleshooting, and customer care visits as required
• Participate in exhibitions, dealer events, and marketing activities while following up on leads and inquiries
• Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities, sharing relevant insights internally
• Ensure proper branding and product presentation at dealer locations
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders including the Lead Account Manager, Business Development Manager, service teams, and R&D to ensure effective information flow
Field Application Engineer Ideal Candidate:
Candidates should have practical experience related to the construction industry, ideally in one of the following areas:
• Sales experience at construction-related retailers, distributors, or dealers (e.g. tools, building materials, or equipment)
• A skilled trades background (e.g. carpenter, woodworker, roofer, or similar) with an interest in transitioning into a sales role
• Hands-on work experience on construction sites or in building-related projects
In addition, candidates should possess:
• Native-level German language is required
• Proficiency in English is advantageous; willingness to develop English skills required
• Self-motivated and able to work independently in a field-based role
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
• Team player who collaborates effectively across departments
• Willingness to travel extensively, including overnight stays
