About the role

In this pivotal role, you'll provide technical leadership, steering Essity's AI journey and unlocking value while mitigating risks.

As a senior leader within our IT Strategy and Business Technology group, you'll not only spearhead AI initiatives but also contribute to broader strategic endeavors, utilizing your expertise across various domains.

What You Will Do

Design and implement AI Solutions : Evolve methodologies and create end-to-end AI solutions for both everyday use cases and complex, value-added scenarios.

Collaborate with stakeholders : Work closely with business unit leaders, data scientists, and other AI professionals to identify and pilot AI use cases.

Translate business vision into technical reality : Assess the feasibility of use cases and translate business goals into practical technical implementations.

Align technical solutions with requirements : Gather inputs from diverse stakeholders to ensure alignment with present and future requirements.

select appropriate technologies : Conduct research and recommend suitable technologies for AI initiatives, leveraging both open-source and commercial offerings.

Audit AI tools and practices : Oversee audits across data, models, and software engineering practices to maintain quality and compliance.

Ensure a feedback mechanism : Continuously assess AI services, support model recalibration, and facilitate retraining of model

Who You Are

As an AI Architect, you can convey complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders. Your leadership skills will drive collaboration and inspire innovation and build trust with senior business leaders and external partners. Your diplomatic approach will foster strong relationships. Your strategic mindset will shape our AI roadmap.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science or a related field. An advanced degree is a plus.

Several years of experience as an AI Architect or similar role.

Deep hands-on understanding of machine learning models, data analytics, and statistics.

Familiarity with programming languages like Python, Java, R.

Broad understanding of the full value chain of an international company

Strong organizational and project management skills, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals.

Ability to transform research and insights into tangible outcomes

Purpose-driven individual who will take technical stewardship of AI

Motivate teams, articulate a compelling vision, and execute it effectively.
