Business Analyst & Product Manager as part of a university project, 20 hours per week For this position, we are looking for a person interested in working as a postdoc (research assistant) in a cooperative tandem position with the Hochschule Emden / Leer as part of the ‘AnkerPROF’ project at the earliest possible date - limited until the 31st of May 2028. 'AnkerPROF' is a concept for the integrated, active, and successful qualification and recruitment of professors within the framework of the funded federal-state programme 'FH-Personal'. During the programme, academics receive further professional training at the Hochschule Emden / Leer while gaining the necessary professional experience outside the university.

The position is to be filled as part of a co-operative tandem position and offers a potential career path at the Hochschule Emden / Leer leading to a subsequent UAS professorship. The employment with us constitutes 50% of regular working hours (20h / week), with the remaining 50% at the Hochschule Emden / Leer - subject to the approval of the sponsor. Willingness to fulfill both employment conditions is a prerequisite.

Your Responsibilities :

  • As a Business Analyst and Product Manager in the software development field, you will collaborate in projects within defined teams and areas of focus.
  • One primary focus involves project conception, spanning from analysing motives to gathering requirements and devising technical implementation plans in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Another focus is initiating and managing structural improvements in projects, collaboration, and processes within the software development realm.
  • Additionally, you will be responsible for selected business analyses on forward-thinking topics within the industry and technology.

Your Qualifications :

  • You will be an analytical and holistic thinker with the ability to evaluate and contextualise different issues.
  • Your structured approach allows for creative and solution-oriented conceptualisation in your work.
  • You are willing to act decisively and proactively to achieve results, and are able to adapt to situational demands and conditions in a dynamic environment.
  • As a true team player, you embody commitment and reliability in your interactions and are able to adapt consistently.
  • You will have an excellent command of English; knowledge of German is an advantage, and you are willing to develop it further.
