The HeadAccountant Business Unit m / f / d is responsible foroverseeing all accounting and reporting activities for ourmanufacturing facility in Wetzlar.

This positionreports to the Finance Manager Business Units Europe and is part ofthe Finance Service Center Europe located in Wetzlar, Germany and

• will be an on-site role.

Inthis role, you will have the opportunityto :

Leadmonth-end closing activities including journal entries preparationand account reconciliation.

Prepare financial statement for corporate reporting aswell as for yearly local statutory accounts

Ensure compliance of financial processes andtransactions with internal control rules

Support daily bookkeeping work in accountspayable, receivables and treasury

Contribute to finance process improvement projects such asautomation to streamline accounting operations

The essentialrequirements of the job include

Certified financial accountant with solidknowledge of local German accounting principles (HGB) or equivalenteducation (master’s degree in finance & accounting)

Minimum 5 years’ experience infinancial accounting ideally with general ledger responsibility inan international corporate environment

Fluent in German and ability to communicate inbusiness English

It would be a plus if you also possessprevious experience in :

Usage of SAP as ERP system

Familiarity with US GAAP accountingnorms and SOX internal control process

Monatliche Abschlussaktivitäten einschließlich derVorbereitung von Buchungssätzen und Kontenabstimmungen zuleiten.

Finanzberichtefür die Unternehmensberichterstattung sowie für jährliche lokalegesetzliche Abschlüsse vorzubereiten.

Sicherzustellen, dass die Finanzprozesse undTransaktionen den internen Kontrollregeln entsprechen.

Die tägliche Buchhaltungsarbeit inden Bereichen Kreditoren, Debitoren und Treasury zuunterstützen.

ZuFinanzprozessverbesserungsprojekten wie Automatisierungbeizutragen, um die Buchhaltungsoperationen zu optimieren

Die wesentlichen Anforderungen derStelle umfassen :

Zertifizierter Finanzbuchhalter mit soliden Kenntnissender lokalen deutschen Rechnungslegungsgrundsätze (HGB) odergleichwertiger Ausbildung (Master-Abschluss in Finanzen &Buchhaltung).

Mindestens5 Jahre Erfahrung in der Finanzbuchhaltung, idealerweise mitHauptbuchverantwortung in einem internationalenUnternehmensumfeld.

Fließend in Deutsch und Fähigkeit, in Business-Englisch zukommunizieren.

Es wärevon Vorteil, wenn Sie auch über Erfahrung in folgenden Bereichenverfügen :

Nutzung von SAPals ERP-System.

Kenntnisse in US-GAAP-Buchhaltungsnormen und SOX-InternenKontrollprozessen.
