Eurofins are seeking a Business Unit Manager who will be responsible for the operational delivery and profitable growth of an NGS laboratory within the Genomics business line in Germany.

Responsibilities include :

• Ensuring the safe efficient and highquality operation of a genomics laboratory in Konstanz Germany.
• Leading and developing a team of approx. 35 FTEs ensuring the lab operates to the required standards inline with the QMS.
• Hiring motivating developing and retaining excellent managers and employees within your business.
• Taking accountability for the P&L of the business unit and managing costs inline with the budget for the financial year.
• Developing methods to reduce cost increase profitability and improve operations efficiency & turnaround times to meet best industry standards in all activities.
• Working with the senior team to ensure results are being reported correctly and in a timely manner.
• Being a technical expert for the business and our customers.
• Working closely with sales and translate customers requirements into the operations (e.g. new method development Service Level performance).
• Ensuring all equipment is maintained and serviced to the correct standard so it is safe to operate and fully calibrated.
• Ensuring that process parameters are respected; issuing deviation reports pinpointing the root causes and taking preventive actions to enhance the process efficiency and product quality.
