The San Juan Clipper is a passenger-only ferry providing whale and sea life excursions throughout the Salish Sea, departing from Pier 69 in Downtown Seattle. Clipper has proudly been operating a Whale Watching service since 1996! Visit our website for information on our whale watching excursions :
Position Overview – Onboard Cruise Attendant
Clipper seeks an enthusiastic and professional individual who shares our passion and love of the Salish Sea. This position offers a fun, rewarding and challenging job, while working on the water and viewing wildlife up close. Your primary job will involve direct interaction with guests, serving food and beverages from our galley, and being an all-around great host to our guests onboard.
This is a full-time position, with our season running from March through October.
Compensation
plus commission and gratuity (average earnings $23-27 per hour); transportation / parking stipend; Paid Time Off (PTO); travel benefits.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service while helping create amazing memories for our guests
- Food, beverage and gift shop sales. Previous point-of-sale system experience is a plus
- Line handling on the vessel for arrivals and departures; No experience? We will train you!
- Assist the onboard Naturalist with taking and editing photos, which are sold onboard on USB flash drives
- Comply with safety and security procedures and fulfilling duties in emergency situations
- Assist team with maintaining vessel cleanliness, including trash and recycling pick-ups in the cabin, removing rash from waste bins and cleaning and stocking the onboard bathrooms
