Institutional Manager - Market Access

KEY ACTIVITIES, ACCOUNTABILITIES AND DUTIES

Directly supervises group of Institutional KAMs. Has responsibility for institutional sales of overall region by key account.

  • Establishes business objectives, assesses performance, and addresses skill development for direct reports to ensure appropriate portfolio management, including opportunities for career development.
  • Ensure sales forecasts are met or exceeded and operational budgets are managed at a country level.
  • Support purchase process with international, regional health organizations and NGO´s.
  • Develop strategies and tactics in collaboration with Brand Teams to provide optimal resource allocation.
  • Support the company´s price strategy for public market for reimbursement and tender management.
  • Has a relentless drive, understands the complexities of regional health care systems and can lead Institutional KAMs to drive successful business plans.
  • Develops people and the organization by investing in long-term development of others through mentoring, coaching, and continuous feedback.
  • Manage and develop key institutional accounts, depending on each market and type of health system, to maximize public opportunities for all AstraZeneca portfolio.

Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • +5 years’ experience with consistent success in pharmaceutical or healthcare sales.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and experience in multiple commercial functional business areas is preferred (e.g. Market Access, Brand Team/Marketing and Sales Operations).
  • Demonstrated understanding of customer segments and regional market dynamics for specialized portfolio.
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, budget management, presentation and negotiation skills.
