Together with the Schunk Group , an international technology group with operations in 26 countries, we are looking for a Lead Software Architect (m / f / d) .NET to further develop the group-wide digitization strategy at the Heuchelheim site near Giessen with a flexible home office solution.

With a turnover of 1.6 billion euros and more than 9,600 employees, the Schunk Group is one of the leading manufacturers of products made of high-tech materials such as carbon and ceramics as well as innovations in the fields of high-performance microchips, renewable energies, optics and laser technologies.

Tasks

You will be responsible for the creation and further development of a cross-industry, Azure-based IoT platform, working closely with the Head of Software Development, the product owners and the engineering team
You make all architectural decisions to optimize and scale the platform and to build platform building blocks, such as a unified data ingestion solution
Together with an interdisciplinary team, you design the development and integration of individual platform components (e.g. device management, device updates) on Azure in order to enter the production phase in the next step
By creating a security concept, you ensure the smooth transfer and storage of IoT data in the cloud

Requirements

Sound experience in the conception and implementation of complex software development and software architecture projects

Expertise in working with C# / .NET and good knowledge of containers (e.g. Docker) and Kubernetes (AKS)

Comprehensive know-how in the field of cloud technologies, ideally in dealing with MS Azure

Initial knowledge of IoT topologies and experience in the development of IoT products and platforms, including the design of service-oriented architectures is an advantage

You are a team player with strong communication skills and business fluency in English
