Job Description

As a Design Engineer (f / m / d) within our Turbine and Combustor team in Dahlewitz (near Berlin), you will be part of a multidisciplinary environment, contributing to the design, development, and lifecycle support of aero-engine components. You'll play a key role in translating functional requirements into robust engineering solutions while working closely with manufacturing, production, and external stakeholders.

This position offers the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge technologies in gas turbine design, and to help shape the performance, efficiency, and reliability of Rolls-Royce products globally.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop detailed design definitions for turbine and combustor components in collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams
  • Support manufacturing engineering during the design phase, initial production, and series production ramp-up
  • Provide technical support to in-service engines and contribute to fleet issue resolution
  • Participate in and contribute to research and technology projects aligned with future product development
  • Guide and coordinate the work of CAD draughtsmen and external design partners
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations to internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications & Experience :

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Solid understanding of methodical design principles for complex components, including associated definition processes
  • Knowledge of turbomachinery and related manufacturing technologies is desirable
  • Proficiency in CAD systems, preferably Siemens PLM-NX is desirable
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken
  • Ability to work effectively in a technically challenging and interdisciplinary environment, with a solution-oriented mindset
