Senior Azure Cloud Engineer

Location : Hybrid work possible from one of the following locations :

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer to implement, maintain, and optimize enterprise-level cloud solutions. The role combines hands-on technical expertise with problem-solving skills to deliver reliable, secure, and cost-effective environments for customers.

This position is a key part of building the dedicated Cloud Service Line – an area currently in its early stages with great potential for growth.

Your daily tasks will include

☁️ Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement architectures that meet customer needs

☁️ Enabling our customers and over 100 internal teams with cloud services

☁️ Establishing best practices for deploying software in the cloud

☁️ Implementing and maintaining Azure infrastructure according to architectural guidelines

☁️ Building and deploying reusable Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / ARM / Bicep) and automated deployments

☁️ Helping clients with cloud strategy and migration roadmaps

☁️ Explaining the advantages, drawbacks, and characteristics of cloud platforms to customers

☁️ Supporting operating models for cloud-native infrastructure and services in production

☁️ Contributing to internal projects with potential for future productization

What makes you a strong fit

⭐️ 5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure

⭐️ Ideally “cloud native” profile – not primarily a software engineer who only recently moved into cloud

⭐️ Experience across different industries or project types (not limited to M365 or security only)

⭐️ Strong knowledge of Azure IaaS / PaaS services, Terraform / ARM / Bicep, Git

⭐️ Proficiency in CI / CD and automation tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)

⭐️ Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes / AKS)

⭐️ Understanding of cloud architectures and / or pre-sales is a plus (not mandatory)

⭐️ Microsoft Azure certifications (preferred : Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert)

⭐️ Familiarity with agile methods (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe)

⭐️ Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset

⭐️ Fluent in English and German

⭐️ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

⭐️ Willingness to travel occasionally for project purposes

The team

Dedicated Cloud team currently consists of VP for Cloud and an Azure Solutions Architect.

Around 10 Engineers with strong cloud knowledge, most of them coming from classical Software Engineering.

You will bring additional cloud-native expertise to the group.
