Cloud Operations Engineer

Tasks & Responsibilities

Responsibility for our cloud services (microservices, databases, IoT components) that run in the public cloud (Azure)
Monitoring of cloud components as well as IoT devices and their availability
Extending the existing cloud architecture with new components
Maintenance, scaling and operation of cloud components
Implementation of optimizations in terms of cost, scalability, and efficiency
You will be the expert when it comes to cloud components and advise our development team on the selection of new components
You will create and maintain our disaster recovery process Deployment of our applications in the production environment
Working closely with the cybersecurity team to ensure secure operations
Support for certification processes
Communication with service providers
Work together with product management and development to design and maintain the overall solution

Education and Experience

Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or equivalent

Mastery of IoT cloud infrastructure

Experience with cloud providers (preferably Azure)

Infrastructure as Code (preferably Terraform)

Linux Experience

Creating scripts (PowerShell / Bash / Python)

DevOps and security best practices Experience in maintaining remote systems (edge devices, servers, etc.)

Good knowledge of English / German is a plus
