In our team you will be   responsible for the long-term (LTP) and short-term planning(STP) of ESA activities of both the crew and ground teams.  This position is on-console during officeworktimes and supporting the Operations Planning for Columbus and Europeanexperiments. You will also perform special tasks for realtime experimentsupport.

Columbus is the European Module part of theInternational Space Station (ISS). This module is monitored and controlled bythe ESA Flight Control Team (FCT) sitting in the ESA's Columbus Control Centre(Col-CC), located at the German Aerospace Center (DLR) facility inOberpfaffenhofen, Germany. The Flight Control teamCol includes positions suchas Flight Director (FD), managing the on-going Operations, the STRATOSmonitoring and controlling the ESA Columbus systems, and the EPIC / COMET incharge of the Planning.

WHAT DO WE NEED IN OUR TEAM?

We are looking for engineers with :

• Engineering degree or equivalent University degree (MsC orequivalent)
• Willingness to work shifts also outside of normal"office hours" ( over weekends)
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to work under stress
• Good team working and communication skills
• Fluency in written and spoken English
• Demonstrable motivation and interest in Human SpaceFlight / Space Operations
