You’ll make an impact by

  • You build up and further develop the commodity management approach for CAPEX, including machinery, equipment, and large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • You are a member of the Siemens-wide Purchasing Council, and you lead and drive global networks through location procurement and cross-functions, including engineering and operations, to understand and meet their CAPEX requirements and to exchange standard methodologies within your area of expertise.
  • You develop and implement global sourcing strategies in alignment with the business and according to the location´s needs, and you ensure early involvement in all key projects, negotiate global contracts and drive and implement sourcing decisions, always considering our focus on the total costs.
  • You drive productivity through efficient utilization of procurement levers, i.e. negotiation, cost transparency, e-sourcing, and cost value engineering.
  • Additionally, you lead and develop our supplier network for commercial topics, sustainability, supplier qualification, development, and overall relationship management to ensure our growth potential of the business.
  • You ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Furthermore, you apply supply market intelligence, commercial and technical trends and focus on future technologies and innovation to drive value for the business.
  • Your defining qualities

  • You are a strategic problem solver with strong negotiation and contract leadership skills.
  • You have a deep understanding of the global supply chain landscape and a clear understanding of international competition, ideally acquired through long-term stays abroad or co-operation within an international environment.
  • You have many years of experience in procurement and cross-functional experience in a related functional area including a proven understanding of related reporting and controlling requirements.
  • You are experienced in the field of production equipment.
  • You are proficient in written and spoken English to ensure global communication and negotiation on executive level. Good knowledge of German is also required.
  • You are a standout colleague, proactive and assertive to achieve the business goals, and you are willing to find solutions with modern and digital approaches where you demonstrate ownership culture.
  • Your master’s degree and willingness to travel internationally (approx. 50% of you time) complete your profile.
