Current INTERNAL Local National Employees throughout Germany. This covers all current Local National employees of the U.S. Forces in Germany, including U.S. Air Force and AAFES-Europe within Germany.
Hauptaufgaben
Serves as Supply Technician for the SLOC : AEJ Global Combat Support System (GCSS)-Army Warehouse (approx.6,800 ATF Lines Stock Valued at $10 Mil). As the senior graded employee supporting RIC AEJ, provides guidance and direction to lower graded employees. Processes requests for approximately 1500 items / major items such as machine guns, gas masks, electronic equipment (voltmeters and oscilloscopes), trucks, tanks, personnel carriers, etc. Telephonically contacts higher headquarters to verify validity and authorization of requests. Prepares input for computerized system. Determines when shipments are overdue, traces action as required. Coordinates with depot and requesting units for release and delivery of items. Acknowledges turn-in of serviceable and unserviceable major items by means of supply documentation. Attempts to fill outstanding requests by substituting equipment on hand; verifies that equipment is not needed in the Command Area of responsibility prior to reporting as excess. Documentation for unserviceable items turned-in is received to ensure that all documents needed are available and that supply requirements has been applied on the proper forms as well as statements which must be signed by Unit Commander. Conducts preliminary investigation for items of an urgent demand or critical nature; takes appropriate action to reflect findings on stock records. Directs lateral transfer of equipment when required items is found to be excess to another area. Checks Automatic Return Item List for further disposition of excess items and prepares shipping documents for evacuation to depot, makes contact with Cann Point for appointment to dispose of items in condition code H or P. Posts transactions and follows up on some to ascertain entry is registered in the computer system. Prepares documentation for disposition of major items ensuring technical inspection has been performed prior to disposal. Upon receipt of Report of Discrepancies (ROD) on major items turned-in, contacts warehouse, transportation office and pertinent units to ascertain condition of items when transferred. Compiles paperwork such as report of survey and forwards results of investigation to receiving depot. Contacts reserve storage activities and coordinates with pertinent units for pick up when notified of a release from higher headquarters. Types correspondence such as disposition forms, transmittal letters, reports, shipping documents, maintenance requests and transfer records. Prepares excess cards, makes copies of all documents, prepares packages with shipping documents and transmits to shipping section. Prepares follow-up cards. Posts turn-in and shipping and files accordingly. Processes serviceable and unserviceable issues and turn-ins Processes and transfer required items to pertinent category. Assigns picking tags for stock on a daily basis, checks Global Combat Support System – Army (GCSS-Army) transactions and corrects errors. Prepares changes, deletions and additions which are input after the monthly cycle into the daily cycle. Attends bimonthly meetings with a representative of Property Book Office for reconciliation of receipts and issue of items received by push shipment. Discusses problems that would shipping of items.
Performs other duties as assigned.

C-5 :
E&T Level I : 2 years of creditable experience as defined in A below PLUS 1 year of experience as defined in B below.
Current employees who do not meet E&T Level I and who are not in the same or similar occupation must have 2 additional years of creditable experience as described in A below.
E&T Level II : 1 year of creditable experience as defined in A below PLUS 1 year of experience as defined in B below.
E&T Level III and above : No additional experience required.
Current employees who have served one year in the same or similar occupation are qualified for the next higher grade.
Experience A : Included clerical work in an office or store, working with computers, bookkeeping, making and recording inventories, telephone marketing, arranging for events or as a cashier, etc.
Experience B : Experience in the same or similar line of work as the job for which considered. The experience must demonstrate that the applicant possesses the particular knowledge, skills and abilities required in the position. The predominant experience must have been gained at a comparable level of difficulty to the position to be filled.
C-5a :
E&T Level I : 2 years of creditable experience as defined in A below PLUS 2 years of experience as defined in B below.
Current employees who do not meet E&T Level I and who are not in the same or similar occupation must have 2 additional years of creditable experience as described in A below.
E&T Level II : 1 years of creditable experience as defined in A below PLUS 2 years of experience as defined in B below.
E&T Level III : 1 year of experience as defined in B below.
E&T Level IV : No additional experience required.
Current employees who have served one year in the same or similar occupation are qualified for the next higher grade.
Experience A : Included clerical work in an office or store, working with computers, bookkeeping, making and recording inventories, telephone marketing, arranging for events or as a cashier, etc.
Experience B : Experience in the same or similar line of work as the job for which considered. The experience must demonstrate that the applicant possesses the particular knowledge, skills and abilities required in the position. The predominant experience must have been gained at a comparable level of difficulty to the position to be filled. The amount of the higher level experience must be in a reasonable relation to the required total number of years.
- Applicants must be in possession of a German driver's license class B.
- Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a forklift operator license.
LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY LEVEL :
English Language Proficiency level B2 AND German Language Proficiency level C1 required.
