Purpose : Responsible for the safety and health compliance of all on-site contract activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to fulfill each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Perform safety and health inspections and assessments of shops, parking areas, hazardous materials / waste storage areas, and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Train employees on relevant safety concepts and requirements, such as but not limited to fall protection and Lock-out / Tag-out (LOTO).
- Conduct investigations on safety and health incidents and recommend corrective actions.
- Track and trend safety and health data.
- Assist shops with identifying proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and other safety related equipment.
- Monitor the medical surveillance program for the site.
- Strive to continuously improve the site’s safety and health culture.
- Assist environment personnel when necessary to include performing environment inspections and conducting environmental release investigations.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies; renewing certifications.
- Maintain a daily timesheet and daily manning report and ensuring correct times are accurate.
- Other duties as assigned
