Job Description

The Senior HR Business Partner / Plant HR Manager will hold comprehensive HR responsibility for the Herborn plant, which is a key location for Safran Cabin's Galleys & Inserts division. Reporting directly to the global HR leadership, this individual will oversee all local HR activities, lead a team of four HR professionals, three payroll administrators, two HSE managers and 1 responsible for apprentice (all m / f / d) and serve as the key HR contact for the plant's management team and global stakeholders.

Complementary Description

• HR Leadership : Lead and manage the HR team at the Herborn plant (4 FTE), ensuring high standards of HR service delivery and engagement across all levels of the organization.
• Business Partnering : Act as the sparring partner for the Plant Manager and other senior leadership at Herborn, while aligning with global HR strategies, particularly with stakeholders in the Galleys & Inserts division. This includes proactive and anticipative thinking and action.
• Change Management : Drive proactively HR initiatives that promote organizational change, talent management, and employee engagement, supporting Safran Cabin's strategic goal, with potential local and global impact.
• Operational HR Oversight : Oversee employee relations, recruitment, talent development, performance management, compensation and benefits, and compliance with local labor laws.
• Cultural Integration : Foster a global HR community mindset that avoids siloed thinking and promotes integrated HR strategies aligned with both local and global perspectives, respecting the heritage. Gain trust and standing in the local Herborn community, in- and outside the plant.
• Stakeholder Engagement : Liaise with senior management, ensuring HR policies and practices meet the strategic and operational needs of the business.

Job Requirements

Experience :

Business Partner Mindset : A strategic HR thinker who integrates into the global HR community and avoids siloed thinking. The candidate should view their role as both a local HR leader and a contributor to global HR objectives.

International Exposure : A background in internationally operating companies, whether from a mid-sized enterprise with a global footprint or a larger corporate structure, with the ability to think and act in a medium-sized business context.

Nachgewiesene Erfahrung als Führungskraft in Deutschland im Bereich Personalwesen auf höherer Ebene, bevorzugt mit Expertise hinsichtlich der Führung eines global tätigen Unternehmens sowie Matrixorganisationen

Umfangreiches Wissen über Funktionen des Personalwesens, darunter Recruiting, Mitarbeiterentwicklung und Talentmanagement

Ausgezeichnete Kenntnisse des deutschen Arbeitsrechts und bewährter HR-Praktiken

Hohe Kompetenz zwischenmenschlicher Beziehungen auf allen Ebenen des Unternehmens und die Fähigkeit, diese effektiv aufzubauen und zu pflegen

Nachgewiesene Fähigkeit, Mitarbeiter im HR-Bereich zu führen sowie weiterzuentwickeln

Specificity of the job

Presence in Herborn : A willingness to be present on-site at least four days per week, with flexibility regarding residence (e.g., proximity to Frankfurt, potential temporary residence).

Language Skills : Fluency in English & German is essential, while other language skills are advantageous for international connection.
