Cost Planning and Estimation :
Develop and manage detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.Analyze project drawings, specifications, and requirements to prepare accurate cost forecasts.Conduct value engineering and cost optimization.
Cost Monitoring and Control :
Track and report on actual costs versus budgets.Identify and address cost variances promptly.Prepare cost-to-complete reports and forecasts.Work closely with project teams to ensure alignment on financial goals.
Procurement and Tendering :
Assist in preparing tender documents and contracts.Evaluate bids and negotiate with contractors and suppliers to achieve cost efficiency.Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and contractual obligations.
Stakeholder Collaboration :
Liaise with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients to ensure financial clarity.Provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders on project cost performance.
Risk Management :
Identify cost-related risks and propose mitigation strategies.Monitor market trends and changes in material and labor costs.
Compliance and Reporting :
Ensure compliance with German building regulations and industry standards.Maintain accurate and transparent documentation of all financial transactions and decisions.
Qualifications and Skills :
- Education : Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience : Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in cost management or quantity surveying within the construction industry.
- Knowledge : Strong understanding of construction processes, cost structures, and financial principles.Familiarity with German construction laws, regulations, and codes (HOAI, VOB, etc.).
- Skills : Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in cost management software (e.g., CostX, SAP, or similar) and Microsoft Office.Strong communication and negotiation skills in both German and English.
- Certifications (Optional) : RICS, ICES, or equivalent certification is a plus.
