Key Responsibilities :

  • Logistics Strategy & Optimization :

Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to forecast plan and meet logistics requirements.

  • Facilitate training programs to build capabilities in operational excellence and continuous improvement across the organization.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to conduct thorough analysis of existing supply chain processes and pinpoint opportunities for enhancement
  • Lead and mentor the transportation team promoting continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Implement training programs to ensure alignment with company goals and industry best practices.
  • Transportation & Distribution Management :
  • Manages all transportation and delivery programs including routing courier selection while minimizing expenses and maintaining a high level of customer service and responsiveness

  • Support carrier negotiations to secure competitive rates and service agreements.
  • Track shipments and resolve delivery issues to maintain service standards.
  • Cost Control & Financial Management :
  • Support entities with annual budget submission to include monthly spend adherence reviews

  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators to measure performance and improve cost of freight
  • Ensure efficient logistics spend without compromising service quality.
  • Stakeholder & Vendor Management :
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams suppliers and logistics partners.

  • Train internal teams to leverage the Logistics Control Tower (LCT) or Logistics COE
  • Lead change management initiatives to drive the adoption of new processes and technologies.
  • Manage carriers and thirdparty logistics providers to meet contract terms and performance expectations.
  • Keep logistics operations running smoothly and efficiently.

  • The Individual :

    Educational requirements :

  • Successfully completed degree ideally with a focus on logistics or comparable field of study.
  • At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in a supply chain environment with a focus on logistics.
  • Continuous improvement experience would be beneficial.
  • Knowledge and Skills :

  • Strong understanding of supply chain management principles including transportation warehousing inventory control and trade compliance.
  • Proven ability to manage logistics operations across multiple sites and regions.
  • Excellent leadership problemsolving and decisionmaking skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to manage vendor and carrier relationships effectively.
  • Familiarity with logistics software and ERP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting.
