Railigent X is Siemens Mobility’s open IoT platform, leveraging AI and big data to transform rail asset management. Our mission? Increase availability, reduce TCO, and optimize maintenance through intelligent data utilization. As a Senior Data Platform Engineer, you will be part of an agile software development team, playing a key technical role in shaping the Railigent X data lake and its ingestion pipelines.

What do you contribute?

• You will be responsible for the architecture, development and operation of the Railigent X data lake, with a focus on scalable data ingestion solutions for processing vast amounts of IoT data from thousands of trains and tens of thousands of railway infrastructure components.
• You enhance and maintain a high-performance AWS cloud- and Kubernetes-based data platform, ensuring scalability, security, and availability.
• You set best practices for platform architecture and software development, ensuring compliance and quality standards across teams.
• You lead and support our project-driven business with a product- and platform-centric mindset, ensuring seamless integration of data solutions into the Railigent ecosystem.
