As an Area Manager,you’ll make sure your site is running as smoothly as it should sothat we can meet customer demand. You will be leading a team thathelps keep our operations safe, efficient, and of a high qualityand taking on a number of projects across our network to driveproductivity. Key job responsibilities Create, oversee, and drive aculture of safety and wellbeing Analyse and implement changes tokeep quality and productivity at a consistently high level Overseeprojects to streamline processes, optimise productivity andincrease quality of service for customers within your area ofresponsibility Analyse shift performance against relevant businessobjectives, and put in place actions to improve our operationalexcellence Work collaboratively with management-level colleagues tostandardise shift practices German language skills (C1-level atleast) mandatory ! A day in the life You’ll work on a shift patternat one of our sites, making sure it is as productive as it can be.Your main focus will be to own and drive a culture of safety anduphold quality and shift performance standards. You’ll also overseeprocess improvements within your area and drive implementation. Atypical day is varied, including everything from routine teammanagement and daily operational responsibilities to processimprovement and wide-scale operational contingency tasks. You’llalso be a role model and mentor to new managers. About the teamAmazon couldn’t deliver at pace without the Amazon TransportationService (ATS) team. As part of ATS, you’ll be welcomed into adiverse team that plays a central role in our success. Using air,sea and road transport, as well as sortation centres equipped withthe latest technology, you’ll help Amazon’s transport run atmaximum efficiency. Our team captures data and uses it to drivedecisions. They are key to making Amazon more innovative andefficient. We put safety first as our people are our priority. Andwe use the expertise of our people to get packages to theirdestination – quickly, conveniently and sustainably.GRUNDQUALIFIKATIONEN A degree Relevant experience in peoplemanagement Relevant experience of communicating with a wide rangeof stakeholders, including your peers and leadership Relevantexperience in using data or anecdotal evidence to influencebusiness decisions Advanced proficiency in verbal and writtenEnglish and local language BEVORZUGTE QUALIFIKATIONEN Preferredqualifications are not required to apply for a position at Amazon.If you have all the basic qualifications above, we’d love to hearfrom you.
