Position overview :
We are seeking a highly-talented, dynamic Head of Finance / Finance Director (m / f / d) to join our executive team as the first senior hire in the finance area. The position will play a critical role in building the finance department and thus be a crucial building block for our future success.
The role is based in Hamburg, Germany.
Tasks
What you’ll do :
- Oversee finance operations, for example accounting & tax, financial reporting and treasury.
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company’s growth and objectives.
- Lead financial planning processes and provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and executive team.
- Manage relationships with investors, auditors, banks, and other financial institutions as well as other external service providers.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations.
- Oversee risk management and develop strategies to mitigate financial risks.
- Build, lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Build strong relationships and maintain clear communication across all levels of the organization to effectively understand and address business and operational needs.
