The position holder primarily works closely with the site management and the global supply chain team with the aim of defining and implementing a procurement strategy for local and globally used direct and indirect materials. The Procurement Manager has one direct report supporting indirect material procurement.The position holder is responsible for the following tasksDefine, optimize and implement procurement and raw material supply strategies for our production facility in LangelsheimEnsure long-term raw material supply strategies at optimal quality, cost and risk profiles, according to forecast production needs, using responsible procurement and supplier management processes (e.g. procurement planning, tenders, negotiations, e-procurement, strategic collaboration)Work with product management, product development and production to identify, qualify and secure raw materials in a timely manner and review current material specifications and supplies while identifying alternatives to avoid sole procurementPlan and execute supplier negotiations and supplier managementEnsure effective risk management across the entire supply and vendor base through sound contract management and monitoring on-time, complete and specified material deliveriesMaintain optimal inventory management (balancing reliable operations, strategic supplier integration and working capital optimization), financial, logistics and sustainability metrics and other KPIs.
