Purchasing Manager

AVATR Global Design Center is looking for a Purchasing Manager. In this role, you will lead the purchasing team, shape procurement strategy, and ensure efficient, cost-effective, and compliant sourcing operations, vendor management while working closely with internal stakeholders and HQ in China.

What you will do:

Lead, mentor, and develop the purchasing team, fostering a high-performing and collaborative environment
Define and execute procurement strategies aligned with business objectives and global direction
Manage and strengthen supplier relationships, including leading key negotiations, contract agreements, and ongoing performance improvement
Oversee the purchasing budget and drive cost optimization initiatives to maximize value
Ensure efficient and compliant end-to-end procurement processes, while driving continuous improvement and enhancing systems and tools
Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including cross-border challenges, to ensure business continuity
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and support alignment with HQ in China through regular communication and reporting
Provide regular reporting, analysis, and insights to senior management to support informed decision-making
Ensure adherence to company policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical sourcing standards

What you will bring:

Bachelor’s degree or above in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
8+ years of of experience in procurement or supply chain management, including leadership responsibility, preferably within an automotive OEM environment
Strong leadership, team development, and stakeholder management capabilities
Demonstrates strong ownership and a results-driven mindset
Excellent negotiation skills and solid experience in supplier management
Experience working in international or matrix organizations, with strong cross-cultural communication skills
Strategic mindset combined with strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving abilities
Proven decision-making skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Fluent in German, English, and Chinese
