About your team

The IT Web and Mobile team is responsible for the maintenance of mission critical applications and infrastructure forming the web and mobile footprint of FIL Fondsbank GmbH (FFB).

About your role

A successful candidate is expected to interact closely with internal application development teams as well as with all business units within the company. The teams main task is analysis and triage of potential technical issues of our inhouse developed trading application and it’s corresponding APIs. Incident- and problem-management is a vital part of our daily work. Our goal is to offer reliable service for our sophisticated financial-tools and products in a highly available and automated environment. The day to day business (RTB) comprise working with internal and external parties like independent financial advisors, self-directed end investors, FFB / FIL stakeholder as well as with third party providers to meet customer demands and expectations. As 2nd level application support for the FFB trading platform and its API interfaces, the team is also responsible for providing information on technical enquiries from the financial market environment.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Maintenance and second level support for FFBs mission critical web and mobile applications
  • Independent organization and coordination of customer-specific problem-solving processes
  • Testing of defect resolutions for the applications in scope (incl. its SOAP and REST API’s)
  • Capture, clarification and classification of technical and also fund / financial related inquiries, incident and problem tickets within the used toolset (Atlassian Jira, Atlassian Confluence (Wiki), ServiceNow)
  • Be part of the future and further development of our financial advisory platform with its diversified products and features and participate with your personal experiences to make things better
  • Acting as a proxy for FFB web and mobile Team with development, technical and business related questions or enhancements to collect and share the details within the team regarding new process workflows and / or product set up
  • Collaborate with FIL / FFB teams across multiple locations and countries
  • Work closely with our data-center provider, hosting the FFB platform environment
  • Identification and development of quality assurance measures
  • Supporting and maintaining AWS cloud services for FIL PI and FWE digital discretionary portfolio management (DPM)

About you

  • Previous experience within banking, brokerage or financial services, showcasing industry insight and knowledge
  • Demonstrated analytical aptitude and a proven track record of resolving complex issues efficiently based on the technology stated above
  • Fluent in German (native level or C3) with the ability to conduct professional conversations and negotiations
  • Strong customer-centric mindset, adept at managing expectations while delivering service excellence; genuinely focused on enhancing client satisfaction
  • Thrives under pressure, maintaining productivity and quality in fast-paced and challenging situations whilst embracing collaboration with a disciplined and detail-oriented approach
  • Preferable Skills are :

  • Experience with JIRA and ServiceNOW
  • Practical experience and understanding of relational databases (preferably Oracle RDBMS)
  • Experience with Git
