Reportedly, the lack of "available space" for medical care on base and the headaches created by the “pay-and-claim” medical care of the German economy caused frustrations with many stationed Americans. As demand for medical services grew, the American Medical Center expanded its on-site medical services to include now more family practice physicians, physical therapists, psychiatrists, nutritional counseling, and veterans’ evaluation services. Today the American Medical Center provides many benefits across two locations. QUALIFICATIONS Be able to type with a minimum of 40 words per minute. Have the ability to read, speak, and write English fluently. High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) equivalency. Be knowledgeable in general medical ethics, health records administration, telephone and email etiquette, office management methods, excellent communications, and customer service skills, strong organizational background, and computer operations including Microsoft Windows and spreadsheet-type applications. US citizenship with SOFA status. JOB DESCRIPTION Performs administrative support services. Answer the phone and schedule appointments. Refers and advises Military personnel, their families, civilians, and retirees on all facets of community resources. Provides ongoing and specialized reception, clerical coordination, and primary support for the computer room.
