What Will Your Role Be

As a Software Security Engineer (f / m / d) at Spreadgroup, your primary role involves enhancing the security of the company's platforms, with a particular focus on web application security while also ensuring data protection and security. Your responsibilities include the further development of crucial security components such as authentication and IAM, as well as developing, deploying, and managing security tools and technologies to bolster the platform's security posture. You will provide support to other development teams, leveraging your expertise to foster a security-conscious culture across the organization. Furthermore, you will analyze threat situations collaboratively with the team, prioritizing and addressing them effectively to safeguard our platforms and services.

What You´ll Do

• Improve the Spreadgroup’s platforms with a focus on "Web Application Security", and keep an eye on data protection, data security, and the security posture of our services
• Responsible for the further development of security-relevant core components (e.g. authentication, IAM)
• Evaluate, develop, deploy, and manage security tools and technologies to enhance the security posture of the platform, such as static code analysis tools, Web Application Firewall
• Automate test scenarios using standard tools or self-developed software
• Support other development teams with your expertise
• Analyze threat situations and evaluate, prioritize, and migrate them together as a team
