To enhance our team at our location in Hamburg, GE, Austin, US or Cebu, PH at the earliest opportunity, we are looking for a Senior Gameplay Engineer C++ (all genders) .
Are you fascinated about online games as a player as well as about their technical aspects in client / server interaction, data structures and game mechanics ?
Would you like to improve and develop an existing massive multiplayer game in cooperation with a team?
We are looking for a C++ developer to join the team around one of our major client MMO games .
You should have a good understanding of 3rd party code even though almost undocumented and you should not be afraid to take over the development of a partially 10-year-old code base . We are looking for someone who can fix problems and create great new features .
Your theoretical knowledge of technologies and design patterns is less important to us than your abilities to develop practical solutions . We would like to see some examples of your creations and to know more about your motivation to develop and improve a game .
About the role
- Take over responsibility for the Coding development of one of our major MMO games, both Client and Server
- Analyse issues / bugs reported by the QA team and implement fixes
- Implement improvements, new features and contents together with the team
- Analyse, document and refactor an existing codebase
- The ability to work closely together with Design, Art, Production and Product teams
- Create tools for the Development team in order to allow us to create new content more efficiently
