About the Company

One of the world’s leading consulting firms is seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Director to lead a multi-year, global SAP template rollout within the financial services sector, with a strong focus on the insurance industry. This long-term engagement will involve overseeing the deployment of a standardized SAP solution across multiple business units and geographies, including managing global delivery teams and offshore resources. The successful candidate will bring deep SAP Financial Services expertise, proven leadership of large-scale transformation programs, and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder landscapes across global organizations.

About the Role

The Senior Project Director will be responsible for leading the global rollout of a Financial Services SAP template across multiple regions, in a highly regulated insurance environment.

Responsibilities

Lead the global rollout of a Financial Services SAP template across multiple regions, in a highly regulated insurance environment
Develop and drive the overall rollout strategy, governance, and execution roadmap
Manage large, distributed teams, including significant offshore delivery (India) and cross-functional coordination
Act as the senior point of contact for client stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business priorities and program goals
Oversee project planning, budgeting, risk management, and delivery milestones
Ensure compliance with local and global regulatory, financial, and operational requirements
Drive adoption, change management, and continuous improvement initiatives post-deployment

Qualifications

10+ years of leadership experience in global SAP programs, with a focus on Financial Services or Insurance

In-depth knowledge of SAP Financial Services modules, ideally including SAP for Insurance, S / 4HANA Financials, or comparable platforms

Proven experience managing offshore teams, especially in India, and working in hybrid or global delivery models

Strong understanding of financial regulatory environments and transformation governance

Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills, especially with C-level executives and steering committees

Fluency in German and English is mandatory

Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) are an advantage

Required Skills

Deep SAP Financial Services expertise

Proven leadership of large-scale transformation programs

Ability to navigate complex stakeholder landscapes across global organizations

Preferred Skills

Experience in managing offshore teams

Knowledge of hybrid or global delivery models
