In this key position of responsibility, you will ensure the high quality and timely completion of financial statements, as well as the transparency of financial figures, thereby making a significant contribution to the company’s financial management. As an experienced accounting expert, you will continuously refine accounting processes and structures. You will share responsibility for ensuring compliance with all relevant legal and internal requirements and serve as a competent sparring partner for the Global Head of Accounting and for management.

Your tasks

• Providing technical and operational support and acting as a substitute for the Global Head of Accounting
• Independently preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB), as well as contributing to group consolidation and the consolidated financial statements
• Ensuring the accuracy of bookkeeping and the continuous improvement of accounting processes within a global corporate environment
• Supporting financial and tax audits, as well as working closely with Controlling on forecasts, projections, and budget planning
• Responsibility for cash and liquidity management, as well as the optimization and further development of systems, processes, and internal controls in accounting
• Development into the SAP S/4HANA Key User role in the Accounting department and participation in international projects, particularly in the context of the global S/4HANA rollout

Your profile

• You have successfully completed a degree in business administration with a focus on accounting/finance or have a comparable business-related education—ideally with additional training as a certified accountant (IHK) or a similar qualification
• You have many years of relevant professional experience in finance and accounting, with a particular focus on accounting and the reliability of financial statements
• You have excellent, proven knowledge of preparing financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB)
• You have experience in reporting, budget planning, and preparing projections
• You are proficient in using SAP R/3 or SAP S/4HANA, and ideally you have also worked with consolidation tools
• You are confident and proficient in using Excel
• You are a strong communicator and are able to drive topics forward in a clear and structured manner
