Job Summary :
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Global Head of Pre-Sales to lead and scale our global pre-sales organization. This role is pivotal in driving revenue growth by ensuring our sales teams are equipped with the technical expertise and solution knowledge necessary to win complex deals. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned leader with a proven track record of building and managing high-performing pre-sales teams around the globe
Responsibilities :
Strategic Leadership :
Develop and execute a global pre-sales strategy that aligns with the company's overall sales and business objectives.
Provide visionary leadership and direction to a team of 3 managers, 35 Sales Engineers across the globe.
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of the pre-sales organization.
Collaborate with sales, product management, marketing, services and support teams to ensure seamless alignment and execution.
Team Management and Development :
Recruit, onboard, and develop a world-class global pre-sales team.
Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance management to team members.
Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Manage regional pre-sales managers and ensure consistency between regions.
Pre-Sales Operations :
Oversee the development and delivery of compelling product demonstrations, presentations, and proposals.
Ensure the team provides expert technical support and guidance to sales teams throughout the sales cycle.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge base of product features, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
Ensure that the team is proficient in responding to RFI / RFP requests.
Customer Engagement :
Act as a trusted advisor to key clients and prospects, providing expert insights and recommendations.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in ourcustomer base.
Gather and analyze customer feedback to inform product development and sales strategies.
Utilities Expertise :
Maintain a deep understanding of the utilities industry, including regulatory requirements, market trends, and customer needs.
Ensure the team is equipped with the knowledge and expertise to effectively address the unique challenges of the utilities sector.
Stay current with evolving technologies that effect the utilities sector.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field (Master's preferred).
Minimum of 10 years of experience in pre-sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Proven track record of building and managing high-performing global pre-sales teams.
Deep understanding of the software industry, preferably with experience in the utilities sector.
Strong technical aptitude and ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience with CRM software, and related sales tools.
Demonstrated ability to manage large budgets.
