Head Of IT Operations / Infrastructure

Location : Ellwangen, Germany

On-site Requirement : Hybrid

Employment Type : Permanent

Salary : €150,000–€170,000

Enzo Tech Group are currently partnering with a global Manufacturer to appoint an experienced Head of IT Operations / Infrastructure.

This is a strategic yet hands-on leadership role, reporting directly to the Group CIO. The successful candidate will lead a global team of around 25 IT professionals across different divisions.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse 25-person IT infrastructure and operations team.
  • Modern workplace and legacy systems
  • Network and firewall architecture
  • IT security and endpoint protection
  • Client management and IT helpdesk operations
  • Drive delivery of key modernization programs :
  • IT / OT network separation
  • Firewall redesign and rollout
  • Infrastructure automation and AI-based optimization initiatives
  • Strengthen cybersecurity and operational resilience across all environments.
  • Collaborate with business and manufacturing stakeholders to align IT with production and growth needs.
  • Oversee vendor management, licensing, and technology renewal decisions.

Requirements :

  • 10+ years’ experience in IT infrastructure, including 5+ years in a leadership role.
  • Deep technical expertise across infrastructure domains (network, security, cloud, modern workplace).
  • Proven experience within manufacturing or industrial environments
  • Strong leadership and communication skills; capable of guiding technically strong, independent teams.
  • Fluent in English; German is an advantage.
  • A strategic thinker with hands-on technical understanding.
